Affirmative Action

John Pavlik, SCESC Business Administrator, is the Northern Hills Academy Affirmative Action Officer. His office is located at NHA and he may be reached at 973-579-6980, Ext. 13.

The 2007-2010 Comprehensive Equity Plan was designed to ensure that an equal educational opportunity is available to all students and to ensure identification and correction of possible prejudice and discrimination of all forms with regard to race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, affectional or sexual orientation, gender, religion, disability or socioeconomic status. The annual statement of assurances was submitted on June 1, 2010 and copies of both of these documents are available in the school office.

The district grievance procedures for handling discrimination complaints are delineated in the District Policy Manual that is located in the front office of NHA. Any parent or staff member may speak with the administration about reviewing the procedures outlined in the policy manual.
